Which screen should you choose?

Repairing the iPhone 17 Pro
The iPhone 17 Pro moved from titanium to an aluminum unibody design with a vapor chamber for cooling. Its three 48MP rear cameras sit in a raised plateau that runs across the top of the back, with a Ceramic Shield glass panel below it for MagSafe charging. The 6.3-inch ProMotion screen and 18MP Center Stage front camera round out the main repairable parts.
Common iPhone 17 Pro problems
- A cracked 6.3-inch ProMotion screen.
- Cracked lens covers on the camera plateau, which takes the hit when the phone lands on its back.
- A cracked back glass panel, sometimes with the screen damaged in the same drop.
- Scuffs and dents on the aluminum corners after drops.
- Camera Control or the Action button not responding.
A different back design
Unlike earlier Pro models, most of the 17 Pro's back is aluminum. Only the panel below the camera plateau is glass, which lets MagSafe and wireless charging work through it.
- A cracked glass panel is replaced on its own.
- Dents in the aluminum are cosmetic unless they bend the frame.
