Which screen should you choose?
Your iPhone 13 came with an OLED screen. An OLED replacement ($139.99) looks and behaves like the original. The LCD option ($104.99) saves money but looks duller and uses a bit more battery. OLED vs LCD, explained.

Repairing the iPhone 13
The iPhone 13 has a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a notch about 20% smaller than the iPhone 12, and its two rear cameras sit diagonally. It still charges through Lightning and supports MagSafe. A bigger battery than the iPhone 12 means many 13s are only now reaching the point where a replacement makes sense.
Common iPhone 13 problems
- A cracked screen or OLED lines after a drop.
- Cracked lens covers on the diagonal camera bump, which sticks out further than earlier models.
- Bonded back glass cracked across the middle.
- Battery health around 80%, with shorter runtime than when new.
- A rear camera that will not focus after an impact.
Screen repairs and Face ID
When the iPhone 13 first came out, replacing the screen could switch off Face ID unless a small chip was moved to the new display. Apple removed that restriction in a later iOS 15 update.
Keep your phone on a current version of iOS before a screen repair. We test Face ID and True Tone after every screen job.
If Face ID was already failing before the crack, see our Face ID troubleshooting guide.
Lens glass vs camera
The two lenses stick out from the back, so their glass covers take the hit when the phone lands on its back.
- Cracked cover, sharp photos: lens glass repair.
- Black screen in the camera app or failed focus: camera module replacement.

iPhone 13 repair FAQ
How much is an iPhone 13 screen replacement?
$104.99 for a budget LCD screen or $139.99 for OLED, parts and labor included. Diagnosis is free, and you'll confirm the price before any work.
How much is an iPhone 13 battery replacement?
$89.99, parts and labor included. Replacing it is worth it once battery health drops below about 80% or you see a Service message.
How long does an iPhone 13 repair take?
Most screen and battery repairs are done the same day at a store, often in under an hour. Mail-in repairs take 7–10 days door to door, including shipping both ways.
Can I mail my iPhone 13 in?
Yes. We send a free, insured shipping label, diagnose it within 24h of arrival, and nothing is repaired until you approve the price.
Can you replace just the camera lens glass on my iPhone 13?
Yes, if the camera behind it still works. We remove the broken cover, clean the lens and fit new glass. If the camera is damaged too, we tell you during diagnosis.
Will my iPhone 13 show a message after a screen repair?
A non-Apple screen shows a notice in Settings, under General, About. The phone works normally. Our guide to the Unknown Part message explains it.
