Repairing the iPhone 11 Pro
The iPhone 11 Pro packs a 5.8-inch OLED screen, three rear cameras and a stainless steel frame into a compact body. Its matte, textured back glass and the square three-lens camera bump are what usually take the hit in a drop. Because the screen is OLED, damage often shows up as black spots or lines even when the glass looks only lightly cracked.
Common iPhone 11 Pro problems
- An OLED screen with spreading black ink, green or purple lines, or no picture while the phone still rings.
- Cracked camera lens covers on the triple camera, with blurry or hazy photos as a result.
- Cracked matte back glass around the camera bump.
- A worn battery that drains quickly on a phone that is now several years old.
- Slow or intermittent charging through the Lightning port.
Three cameras, three lens covers
Each of the wide, ultra wide and telephoto cameras sits behind its own small glass cover. A crack in one cover does not always mean the camera behind it is damaged.
- If photos are hazy but the camera focuses, the lens glass repair is often enough.
- If one camera shows black or will not focus, the camera module itself needs replacing.

OLED damage looks different
