Which screen should you choose?

Repairing the iPhone 12
The iPhone 12 brought back flat edges, a 6.1-inch OLED screen, a Ceramic Shield front and MagSafe charging. It uses the same display as the iPhone 12 Pro, which keeps screen parts easy to find. It was also the first iPhone where iOS checks whether the camera is a genuine Apple part.
Common iPhone 12 problems
- A cracked screen, or an OLED panel showing lines or flicker after a drop.
- No sound from the earpiece during calls while the bottom speaker still works.
- Cracked back glass, which can also stop MagSafe and wireless charging working well.
- A worn battery with health below 80%.
- A rear camera that shows black or will not focus after an impact.
Earpiece problems
If callers sound silent but speakerphone works, check Apple's service program noted above first. If your phone is not covered, we can replace the earpiece speaker.
Parts checks on the iPhone 12
iOS checks three parts on this model. After a repair with a non-Apple part, a notice can appear in Settings.
- Screen: a notice in Settings. The display works normally.
- Battery: a notice, and the health percentage is hidden.
- Rear camera: a notice that the camera could not be verified.
