Liquid Damage FAQ
Should I put my iPhone in rice?
No. Rice doesn't stop corrosion and can leave dust in the ports. Turn the phone off, don't charge it, and send it in for cleaning.
My phone works after getting wet. Do I still need a repair?
It's worth a cleaning. Corrosion often shows up days or weeks later as charging, audio or power problems.
Isn't my iPhone water resistant?
Water resistance wears down over time, and it isn't designed for pools, salt water or sugary drinks. Liquid damage is still one of the most common repairs we see.
