Repairing the iPhone 15
The iPhone 15 was the first standard iPhone with USB-C, the Dynamic Island and a 48MP main camera. Its 6.1-inch OLED screen sits in an aluminum frame, and the color-infused back glass comes off as its own panel. Common iPhone 15 problems
- A cracked screen or OLED damage around the Dynamic Island.
- A USB-C port that charges only at certain angles or not at all.
- Cracked back glass, which on this model is a panel swap.

USB-C port faults
The USB-C port has a thin tongue in the middle that carries the contacts. Lint packs in around it, and a bent plug can damage it.
- Loose fit or charging only at an angle: usually debris, cleaned during diagnosis.
- Liquid detection alert when the port is dry: often corrosion or a damaged port.
- No charging and no computer connection: the port or board needs testing.

Battery health on the iPhone 15
The iPhone 15 shows battery cycle count, manufacture date and first use date in Settings. It also has an option to limit charging to 80%, which helps the battery age more slowly.
