Is it worth fixing?
Pick your iPhone and what's wrong. We'll compare the repair price with what the phone is worth, a new one, and your AppleCare+ or carrier insurance, and give you a straight answer.
When is a phone repair not worth it?
When the repair costs more than about three quarters of what the phone is worth working, or the phone is old enough that it will stop getting iOS updates soon. Then selling it as-is and putting the money toward a newer phone usually makes more sense.
Is a battery replacement worth it on an older iPhone?
Usually, yes. It's one of the cheapest repairs and makes an older phone feel new again, as long as the phone still gets the apps and updates you need.
Should I use AppleCare+ or pay for the repair?
If you have AppleCare+ and the damage is covered, the service fee is usually the cheapest option. Without it, an independent repair is often cheaper than Apple's out-of-warranty price, and faster.
Is phone insurance from my carrier worth using for a cracked screen?
Check the screen repair fee first. Some carrier plans charge a small fee for screen repairs but a much larger deductible for a replacement phone, and claims can raise your premium.
